Gogglebox star Tim Lai announces his engagement and reveals he is planning THREE ‘basic gay weddings’
One wedding won’t be enough for Gogglebox Australia star Tim Lai and his partner Mark, who announced their engagement this week.
Tim, 44, who is hoping to tie the knot next year, told Woman’s Day there will be three different ceremonies on three different continents, but they won’t be too extravagant.
‘We’re basic gays, we’re not bougie or over the top at all,’ he laughed.
The couple have decided to marry on their 25th anniversary of dating, with 16 people expected to be included in the wedding party.
Firstly, Tim and Mark will celebrate in Melbourne with their Australian relatives, before heading to Malaysia for a second wedding with Tim’s family.

Their third service will be hosted in Scotland for Mark’s side of the family, where they have decided to hire out a castle.
Tim’s on-screen couch partner Leanne will act as the celebrant at their European service.
Their fellow Gogglebox co-stars Faye and Lee have been enlisted as bridesmaids.
‘They have the biggest hearts and I love them to the moon and back,’ he said.
Tim said he and Mark won’t be starting a family after getting married because they are too old, adding: ‘Look, in gay years, we’re probably called geriatric.’

‘We don’t want to be 70 and chasing our 12-year-old so we’ve decided we have our lineage.’
Instead, they have a variety of pets to care for, and an international trip on the cards.
