Haddish spoke about appearing in the sequel to Girls Trip during an interview with TMZ that earlier this month.
The original feature, which also starred Jada Pinkett Smith, Regina Hall and Queen Latifah, was released in 2017.

Rumors about a sequel circulated for years following the premiere of the film, and several of its cast members made comments about its development.
